Minimum system requirements to record or play a webcast

Recording Requirements:
  • The official Adobe Flash plugin must be installed to record Sayansho.
  • Javascript must be enabled in the browser.
  • A stable internet connection with a minimum of 500kbps upstream bandwidth must be used. We do not recommend the use of wireless or shared internet connections.
  • Internet Explorer 9 or later
  • Firefox version # or later.
  • Mac OSX # or later
  • Google Chrome version # or later
  • N.B. If you're using Google Chrome you must disable the Google Pepper Flash plugin and use the official Adobe Flash Plugin. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this here.

Playback Requirements:

  • N.B. The Adobe Flash plugin is not required to play a Sayansho if the browser supports HTML5 video.

What format do my slides need to be?

Before you can upload your presentation to Sayansho you need to turn it into a PDF. We also recommend your presentation has a 4:3 aspect ratio but we support 16:9. Exporting your presentation is easy and you can find further instructions here.

Is there a maximum size limit to my PDF?

Yes. The PDF you upload cannot be larger than 10 Mb. There are lots of way to keep your PDF size in check. Here are a couple of guides.

Some versions of Mac OSX contain a bug that stops you from clicking on the "Allow Camera/Microphone Access".
